The TEC B-482 series is the new generation of the B-X series, with improvements including DRAM memory increased to 16MB which more than doubles the print length to 2.726 meters (107 inches) and a High Performance CPU (Internal Clock: 60Mhz, Outer Clock: 30MHz) for faster throughput.
With a 300 DPI edge type printhead and print speeds of up to 8 IPS, TEC's superb print quality is maintained at a level expected of a leading printer manufacturer.
The B-482 series has kept the features that have made the B-482 a best seller. Things like the wide range of fonts and barcodes, Internal Media Handling and Industrial Strength Steel case for harsh environments, LCD and LED operator displays and 600m Ribbon length.
To this incredible package TEC has added a new range of advanced features. Using the optional PCMCIA I/F board more Logos, Fonts and Format details can be stored on PCMCIA memory Cards.
But with this board you can also implement Network solutions using a PCMCIA Ethernet LAN Card (supporting FTP Client/Server, LPD) which when fitted gives the new function of the Internet Web Printer Control. Other New Options are the Rotary Cutter, I/O interface Card and 20 Downloadable True Type Fonts , added to the Swing Cutter, Strip Module and Ribbon Save Module of the B-X range giving the performance and flexibility to meet all your printing requirements.
The printer is equiped with a HTTP (Web) server function: Firmware updates, status monitoring, and web browser print function (Internet Explorer and Netscape) can be done from the printer, therefore the client does not need a special printing Software.

4) Remote maintenance The above functions can be done through web browser like Internet Explorer or Netscape, where the client does not need a special printing software.
